All the characters are distinguished by their loyalty, and by their willingness to fight for what they believe in

We’re dropped right into the action of this exciting world and its interesting lore alongside a ragtag group of likable characters, and the pace is relentless from there.

Barker-Simpson brings this universe of portals and realms to life with hints of details that colour her writing, set the atmosphere, and build a strong foundation for a fantasy world I want to spend more time in.
